Bach in the Saddle
Wake the kids, phone the neighbors, and get the hairspray. Sebastian Bach is back. The former Skid Row front man drops his first solo album since 2001 when Angel Down hits the shelves bright and early tomorrow morning.
The news around this record seems to be the participation of one W. Axl Rose. Bach’s relationship with Axl goes back at least to 1990, when Bach performed on stage alongside Guns N’ Roses and Metallica at a Rip Magazine party. Over the intervening years, Bach has occasionally joined Axl onstage, once even subbing for him to finish a 2006 show. Bach also contributes backing vocals for a track on the probably-never-to-be-released Chinese Democracy.
For Angel Down, Axl sings backup on three tracks: “Back in the Saddle,” “(Love Is) A Bitchslap,” and “Stuck Inside.” He also shares writing credits on “Stuck Inside.”
Paul Cashmere, writing for Undercover.com, has high praise for the disk: “I can tell you that without a doubt, the wait will be worthwhile. Angel Down is the metal album of the year, if not the 21st Century so far.”
I’m going to share one of the Axl-infused tracks with you tonight. The cover of Aerosmith’s “Back in the Saddle” was leaked to a Texas radio station a couple of weeks ago and supposedly created quite a stir.

Skid Row or Joe Jackson?
I'll take the new Joe Jackson album!

Check it out, Aikin.
hahaha!
Of course - but I gotta toss in some variety, you know?
Aside from the sheer guilty pleasure of "18 To Life" by Skid Row, Bach's "charm" is lost on me.
Give me Chinese Democracy or give me death.
