Hair Metal Hangover

Dateline: Early on a Saturday. Too early, based on what was going on last night. A couple of days out from my birthday, all I know is the evening involved Jager (or "Jay-ger," as they say here) and credit cards...

... and probably led us to some sort of no good.

Everyone knows there is nothing better for a Jager hangover than 80's hair metal. So crawl back in bed, pull the headphones on, and let's rock.

Hurricane might well be known as Quiet Riot's kid brother. The band featured Carlos Cavazo's brother Tony, and Rudy Sarzo's brother Robert. They released four albums between 1985 and 2001. The disk I have is their debut, "Take What You Want," and I pulled the title track from that six-song EP.

YouTube has a video for "I'm Into You" if you prefer to see your metal

Jimmy Crespo rears his head again (he was a member of Rough Cutt last time we spoke) as Adam Bomb's guitarist. Bomb released his debut album, "Fatal Attraction," in 1984. I also have the title track from that disk.

Adam Bomb is still rockin'. Check his site for more info on tour dates, latest releases, etc., etc.

Going on 30 years, Canadian rockers Helix are still doing what they do best: ROCKIN'! "No Rest For the Wicked" was their third album and their first on Capital Records. "Heavy Metal Love" got them into heavy MTV rotation, and the rest, as they say, is history. Check out Planet Helix for updates, info, and so on.

Now take some aspirin and go back to bed.

If you get back to this link, I usually take them after a couple of weeks. Sorry about that! I plan to post more metal soon.
